From Field to Chef
The local harvest is celebrated in restaurants throughout October with menus and dishes using foods from less than 75 kms around Stratford. Wherever you look, in every direction, there is a mind-boggling array of farms and artisanal food makers raising heritage breeds of pork, organic vegetables and fruits; hand-made cheeses, breads and craft brews and freshly caught fish from Lake Huron.
Throughout October some of Stratford’s finest restaurants will dazzle your taste buds with menus using the freshest harvest foods – many picked that morning. Our local chefs will complement your senses, either before or after a late season Festival play. From haute cuisine to a lunch spot, the participating restaurants will serve you a delicious meal made from the best of local ingredients.
