Celebrate our culinary festivals
Our craze for food makes for some unique local autumn food festivals, from the quirky to more refined gourmet sampling in our heritage district.
You know we must be passionate about food if we devote a festival to celebrating the noble fruit Allium sativum (garlic) at the Stratford Garlic Festival on September 13th. Interesting is an understatement as you will experiment with garlic jellies and jams, salsa and samosas. Garlic honeys, cheeses and the ubiquitous garlic fudge!
On the weekend of September 20-21, 2008 Savour Stratford, set in the heritage district of York Street, in the heart of Stratford’s beautiful gardens and the Avon River, renowned chefs and the best of local Perth County food artisans will together celebrate with two days of tastings and the savouring of the best cuisine of the season.
